I don't see why this colour was chosen, given that elemental mercury is a metallic silver like most other metals (although for Cotton Resources most metals have slightly unrealistic colours to better distinguish them). It might be a better idea to make mercury look like a metallic gray liquid instead, since there's no other liquid metals in the game.

Closing this ticket since Cotton Resources is pretty much a discontinued project from the time being - feel free to reopen this if work continues

Mercury and aluminum are frequently dyed red, and since virtually all metals are boring silver colors, I chose red to maintain that thermometer association.

Didn't we get rid of mercury?
