Platinum is a rare metal, and is also known as a "noble metal", which is the reason i'm bringing it up. Platinum is often used in machines and lab equipment that need to work with caustic chemicals, and also has found use in Catalytic Converters, a common part of modern combustion powered vehicles (That means cars).

The catalytics portion of this is the main reason to add it, as Platinum is a common catalyst for handling burn waste, processing naphtha into gasoline(!), and as a catalyst in fuel cells.

In terms of coloring it, it'd probably be advisable to take a leaf from Thermal Foundation's book and give it a metallic cyan color.

Thermal Foundation is Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International, so there wouldn't be legal issues.

Although I don't think using others' textures is a good idea, instead of using our own, so probably won't happen. (just saying)

I don't like metallic cyan for platinum, it's one of the few boring white metals that truly, genuinely has a claim to being really, really white. So we went with white. But yes, absolutely!
