In the log it says forge 2847 but you say you are using forge 2854. Also in the log I can't find anything that indicates that you have joined a world.
Please follow this steps:

  • start minecraft
  • join a world
  • wait for the bug to appear
  • close minecraft
  • upload the .minecraft/logs/latest.log file

Things from the discord that aren't mentioned here:

  • apparently the bug does not appear with v2.5.2B, but with 2.5.3B

After looking at the concrete differences between both version that makes no sense. Most likely cause for this bug is some kind of conflict with another mod

Just attempted to reproduce it.

Conclusion: I wasn't able to reproduce the bug. It most likely is some mod conflict or some event of another mod interfering with lighting or a weird shader (you used optifine so it is possible that you run shaders, but this is just a guess).

What you can do now, but don't have to: Remove all mods except cqr and geckolib, then re-add one mod after another and try each time if the bug comes back. That way the conflicting mod can be found.

Current guess for what the cause is: Obsidian animation suite (fits the description, it basically is an animation replacer and thus interferes with render code)

Discord: It was confirmed that the cause is obsidian animation suite
