I seen the trailer of the evolution. And it shows that creepers could defend themselves by just exploding. How about other mobs defend themselves too instead of "Being Wither Storm's Dinner".
Here's the list of defense strategy different mobs has:
Creeper (ADDED): Just explodes when near (You saw it on the trailer).
Endermen (DENIED): Teleports out of the Tractor Beam. (But, it cannot enter the tractor beam)
Skeleton (ADDED): Shoot arrows at the head to avoid being dinner.
Zombie: Attempting to kill the Wither Storm's head
Warden: Shoots out sonic boom at the head, and attempts to do melee attacks when near the head.
Iron Golem: Tries to melee attack the head.
Evoker: Spawns in Vexes to attack the head that is aiming towards him.
Vindicator: Attempts to attack the head with its axe.
Pillager: Shoots arrow at the head. (Same as skeletons)
Witch: Shoots potion at the head.
Ravager: Attempts to melee attack the head.
Slime: Attempts to melee attack the head, and also attempts to escape the tractor beam by jumping.
Silverfish: Attempts to melee attack too.
Endermite: Same as silverfish. (Cuz I don't wanna repeat it again)
Blaze: Shoots fireballs at the head.
Pigmen: Attempts to attack the head with its sword.
Shulker: Shoots out shulker bullets at the head its being targeted by. (Probably not possible, but can be brought by something like a minecart or a boat)
Piglin: Same as pigmen.
Hoglin: same as pigmen too.
Wolf: Attempts to melee attack AGAIN.
Polar Bear: Same as wolves.
Husk: Same as Zombies.
Stray: Same as skeleton.
Magma Cube: Same as slimes.
If you have anymore ideas, just tell me.
Endermen don't get targeted, unless if you mean the tractor beam happens to land on one by accident. The creeper behavior is specially coded for the creeper specifically, would take a lot of work for each individual mob but could be interesting.
I mean to be completely honest, most of the mobs here, especially the small weak ones with their "melee attack"s should maybe just not do anything as they're basically defenseless, but yeah, stuff like the Warden, skeletons and (whereever you want to get these from) blazes do sound good with their features, maybe a few lines of code to make them agressive towards the heads would work but idk Minecraft coding bruh
Actually almost ALL of this is already a thing. Just spawn said mobs into the beam and watch
