ok i know the last 3 i posted were not so great but i have an idea with the wither sickness that might work!
after getting the wither sickness your walking/running speed will slowly decline. you will notice a slower death as the damage is 30% slower. once at half heath your vision begins to darken and you will mine slower.
i have no ideas left... if this is a duplicate or is not planned this will be closed
for 1.18.2, 1.19.4 1.20.1
I could actually see this. Since getting stew is easier I kinda like this idea

stew is not easy without beforehand preparation, and preparing prior to the storm isn't exactly intended as seen in the survival guide and how 3 skulls are at the spawn structure instead of 2 or 1.

Wdym? The crafting recipe is way easier, and by the time you actually will need the stew you'll be able to fight the symbiont no?

Yes?

Yes? It's a slime ball or magma cream now instead of a diamond
It could also be neat to make it give the player a form of weakness. In MCSM, whoever has the wither sickness is really weak, like barely able to fight weak.

All of this should be a thing but definitely a config. Because people already struggle with the normal wither sickness
