[Bug]: multiplayer error

Describe the bug
A bug happened!
My friend and myself downloaded.
the mod from curseforge
but the multiplayer section isn't working
not even the Lan world option in single player
Can you please help me so we can both stream your mod on tiktok and discord
And yess we both downloaded the mod aswell
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to 'mutiplayer.'
- Click on 'server add.'
- Scroll down to server adress won't work !
- See the error aswell !
- when u go to single player
- open Lan and even then my friend can't join
Crash Reports/Logs
Error can't connect to server or even can't open lan
Is OptiFine installed?
- OptiFine is installed

This shouldn't be an issue with the mod, are you sure that your server has it's ports opened properly? and with LAN you can only use it if you're both on the same network

We both downloaded the mod so we both are on 1.20.1 when I make a server adress it shows can't conect to server even lan with a port number my friend can't find it so I'm confused cause I see others who play the mod on distance or close to each other
