Can't create new alloys

DESCRIPTION
I can't see the recipe for steel or bronze ingots, although I can see what items I can craft with them. When trying the recipe out, the mixer doesn't respond. Some friends on the server mounted the modpack we are using (FTB Direworlf20) and they can see the recipe.
