[Suggestion] Simplified Cannon Crafting.

I feel like the cannon crafting system, while certainly unique, is overly complex and adds a lot of unnecessary item bloat. For example, every cannon chamber piece adds a very small, small, medium, large, and very large variant as well as an unbored version of each. Screw breaches and sliding breaches each add 3 items that exist purely for crafting purposes. I feel that this is an unnecessary addition of items and I do not feel like it fits with the style of either Minecraft or Create.

Additionally, there are several items that exist purely for crafting purposes that could be streamlined with vanilla items. One example is the powder charge, which is crafted from 'packed gunpowder' and 'empty powder charge'. Both of these items serve no other purpose beyond this single crafting recipe. It would be better in line with good game design principles to remove these items and use vanilla items for the powder charge's recipe. I've taken the liberty of coming up with an example which you can view below:

The following is a quote from Mojang's internal book of guiding principles written by Jeb that I believe relates to this issue:

ITEMS SHOULD BE MULTI-PURPOSE
The players' inventories are already quite over-encumbered
with the hundreds of items that exist in Minecraft. When we
add even more to the pool, we should think hard if we can
make them multi-purpose or have a broader use-case.

For example , the totem of undying only has a single use,
but ifs one with sufficient game play impact. Sometimes the
solution is another potion-brewing ingredient, but often the
best option is to provide a decoration block for players to craft.

Perhaps instead the recipes should simply use a mechanical crafter? At the very least, I would greatly appreciate the addition of a config toggle that replaces the crafting system with traditional recipes and disables related items from being registered on launch.

Kind regards,
