Running the latest version on fabric, catwalks only seem to place flush with the top of a block, and do not have the elevated placement option described in the readme, regardless of where the cursor and player are positioned.

Has there been any word on this being fixed? I absolutely hate floating catwalks and just want my girders to support them! they should place like trap doors, either the upper or lower portion of the side of blocks.

The dev team was clear in the discord that catwalks will only be top half-blocks from now on. I fairly understand that it is complicated to "place" a catwalk on a girder since they are two different blocks (with different block IDs etc). However, we can see that calwalk will change appearance if they are directly above a "support block" and render as a full block (which I personally find too bulky, but that's my taste).

However, what I'm curious about is if it would be possible to render the catwalk differently if they are placed directly above a girder (for instance rendering an horizontal beam under it (while still bein a "catwalk block"). A similar possibility could be with the "support wedge blocks" that could render under the catwalk using the wrench?
