Crash When Attempting To Pump Lava

Describe the Bug
Tried to build a lava pumping station in the nether using a hose pulley. This is a design I've used many times and I know works. Now it crashes as soon as lava pumping is attempted.
Reproduction Steps
- Build a lava pumping contraption using a hose pulley.
- As soon as hose is lowered into lava the game crashes, and world cannot be loaded.
Expected Result
Pump lava.
