Compatibility with storage blocks from different mods

Describe the Suggestion
This has been a known problem for a long time with forge Create.
However, this is a fabric port so it needs to have different ways of being compatible with different mods?
I'm having a problem with these two:
- normal hoppers can input and output items
- create doesn't interact with these chests at all
- create can input and output items reliably when in a block form
- when part of a moving contraption (like a drill or harvester), Create doesn't interact with these drawers

Would it be possible to make all kinds of storage blocks work with Create, no matter what mod it is?
Do I have to make issues at corresponding mods repos to make them compatible?
Was wondering this as well, after unsuccessfully trying to use chests from Expanded Storage and Tokenable Furnaces and Storage mods in Create machinery. Both of these mods extend vanilla ChestBlock and are normally compatible with every other mod, but not Create.
Create has strict limits on what can be used on contraptions since it has to be serialized and saved. I want to look into this further at some point, but other issues are higher priority.
Compatibility mod for Create Forge was ported to 1.18.2 with more features I presume? Could be useful even for Fabric? Probably not.
