offhand extendo grip does not properly extend breaking reach

Describe the Bug
with an extendo grip in the offhand only, you cannot break blocks beyond normal range. behavior updating is also weird.
Reproduction Steps
- equip extendo grip in offhand only
- make main hand empty
- relog just in case
...
Expected Result
can break blocks far away
