Game crashed after placing a Mechanical Arm, and keeps crashing every time I reopen the world

Describe the Bug

I wanted to place a Mechanical Arm, so I selected an input - a Mechanical Saw - and two outputs - both brass funnels. I then placed the arm in a spot I had already planned out in advance next to another arm so that it would already be reciving rotational energy. Immediately after I clicked to place the arm however, the game abrubtly crashed. I tried restarting the game and reloading the world, but the game just crashed as soon as the world loaded, with the exact same crash report (as far as I can tell). I was able to load (a copy of) the world if I disabled the create mod, though that obviously deletes all of my progress.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Launch the instance of Minecraft that I was playing on when I encountered the bug
  2. Try to load the world
  3. Game crashes

Expected Result

I expected that the first arm would rotate the second, just like how any other cogs would. The arm would then move items from the input to the outputs. Instead, the game crashed. When relaunching the game, I expected to be abe to load the world, but it just kept crashing.

Screenshots and Videos

I was unable to get anything before the crash.

When the game first crashed I was using:
