im trying to stop lead and nickel ore from generating using kubejs, but this does not work. i also tried removing ore generation using the config file, but it seems to not have one.

This sounds like an issue for the KubeJS team, and you might do better to ask for support from them. Have you asked on the KubeJS discord at https://discord.gg/lat? It isn't the responsibility of mod authors to make their mods work with KubeJS, it's the KubeJS developers' responsibility.
