Fall damage any time I land as if I was in freefall

What happened?

I'm testing out Create Jetpack for the first time and every time I land, even if I'm slowly hovering until I touch down, I take damage as if I was in freefall the entire distance. This is only occurring in SMP, it behaves as expected in single player.

After further testing, it's not all the time. Sometimes I have this issue, and sometimes I don't. When I do have it, turning the jetpack off and on again seems to be a workaround until the bug is fixed.

I find that it happens when you've flown fast up or down. It seems to not reset your momentum after reaching higher speeds. Not game breaking but quite annoying to softly land and lose half your health bar

@PixelDrennen I'd argue it is game-breaking: If you're on hardcore and you die because your jetpack kills you due to no fault of your own, that's a critical issue.
