Rocket Controls Deactivate Upon Teleport (despite message)

Environment

  • Forge 47.3.0 for Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Singleplayer
  • Create mod installed along with about 30 other mods, but most of them don't seem like they could be related. I could send the full mod list if requested.

Before bug occurred

I sat in a seat, interacted with the Rocket Controls, and pressed Space to launch. When I interacted with the Controls, it said "Press Left Shift to stop controlling contraption" like it normally does. I didn't press Shift, and I let the rocket launch.

Bug

Once I got teleported (after the "Loading terrain..." screen) I got the "Press Left Shift to stop controlling contraption" message again, which made it seem like I was still controlling it, and yet I couldn't press Space to slow down, leading to the rocket crashing.

Workaround

I later found out that to work around this, you need to stop and then start controlling the contraption again right after the teleport.
