it works on my pc just not the mod

What platform (windows, mac or linux) are you using ?
What version of Minecraft are you on ?
Are you on the latest version of the mod for that version of Minecraft?
Did you tried to setup your gamepad using the advanced input mode ? (https://github.com/getItemFromBlock/Create-Tweaked-Controllers/wiki/The-advanced-input-mode)
