You can already do this in advanced mode with custom mappings if you inverse the input. HOWEVER. this only works if you use custom inputs and not if you want to use a controller already.

I'd like to make the advanced mode be the default one, and make it automatically fill your inputs depending on what you are using. This coupled with an improved UI should help with your problem
