I was trying to turn kelp into dried kelp by placing it in front of a fan with a lava block in front of it. Although this works with other blocks, such as ores or foods, it hasn't worked for kelp. After it dries, it just disappears.

I am on 1.16.4, using create v0.3e

kelp is cooked into dried kelp using a smoker. all items that can be cooked in a smoker will be cooked by a fan with a fire or campfire block in front of them. this will cause smoking particles and will cook your kelp.

As far as I know, this isn't a bug and is intentional

There smelting flow and cooking flow
Lava and fire respectively
Trying to use kelp on smelting flow will destroy the kelp

Thanks guys, you guys are right. I used a campfire and it works normal. I thought it would work with lava because dough cooks with lava, but I guess kelp does not.

Edit: I just tried with dough again, and it didn't work. Not sure why I was able to cook about 5 stacks of bread using lava a few days ago, but now it only works with campfires.
