Running on server, flat bedrock (only 1 layer)

Drill platform will (sometimes) get stuck on bedrock. When I investigate under the lava on creative, I see the drills have entirely vanished, and platform now is glued to bedrock layer.

Note: Server crashed when reattaching pulley and attempting to pull it back up after removing bedrock.
Note 2: Third time this has happened, pulley somehow clipped through 4 layers of stone to bedrock, drills vanished on bedrock again & the linear chassis they were attached to. Blocks glued above chassis (Barrels) and some secondary chassis remained, deleting the blocks they were were occupying & upon arriving I could only recover original linear chassis items. All drills again were gone.
