Currently no way to turn Stone into Cobblestone using machinery.

I use Silk Touch for mining (so I can Fortune Lapis and stuff later), and there is no way to turn my stone supply into cobblestone. Perhaps washing stone could turn it into cobblestone?

You can place it with a deployer the mine it with a drill.
