I think there should be way to use only coal for furnace generator,
It makes sense: coal doesnt need iron to burn so why is there no way to use blat furnace without things to burn
Plz add new type of block or make furnaces light up without smeltable item, if there is generator conected to it!

I believe the smelting requirement exists to gate progression; furnace generators are currently the best source of stress capacity in the mod and blast furnaces supercharge that, so it would make sense to require some creativity to keep it running.

I've found that if designed properly you can use a furnace engine to burn logs into charcoal and then use that charcoal to refuel the machine, attach this to a tree farm and unlimited energy.
