I build a rotating contraption that is intended to work as a rotating quarry.
The rotational part is lowered with a piston. Then the roating quarry head starts rotating.
But the very center drill of the rotating contrapion is not braking anything, not while the pisten drops it into the block nor while the contraption is rotating.
It should be fixed by letting a drill break a block it is moved in at the moment he is powered, not only when it collides.

I believe I had similar expectations to this. It seems like mechanical drills only mine when they are moved, not when they are rotated. This is confusing because the drill head of a mechanical drill spins when it is rotated and not moved. My expectation is that a rotating mechanical drill mines the block at the drill head in a similar fashion to one that is being moved.
