when using a Redstone link with a rope pully to make an elevator I stumbled upon an issue where when you went up and the creation turned back to solid the frequencies disappear.

I found out that if a transmitting Redstone Link is powered from the North or East while being moved, it will lose the frequencies when the movement stops (or whenever it is "materialized"). Powering it from South and West has no issues. This could also be the reason for #258 and the difficulty to reproduce it.
