Non-sticky cart assembler?

I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place/way to ask/post this, given how this is more a question/request than an issue.

Currently, it is not possible to lift/move blocks directly off of the top of a cart assembler, like in the pic, due to the fact that a cart assembler is a non-movable block. I can understand why this is, though it is kind of frustrating to not be able to tell my pulley to 'ignore' the cart assembler, and move only the block of wood on top of it and any other movable blocks that are glued to it.

I would like my wagons to stay tiny, so using a sticker or chassis won't work for me. Would it be somehow possible to make a cart assembler non-sticky so things can be moved off of it while the assembler itself is ignored?

I tried a linear bearing with glue. Range 1 (which would be the log to be removed from the cart). It should work that way, my ¢¢, it doesn't.

This should be fixed for consistency:
All self sticky blocks (bearings, gantries, sticky mechanical pistons, rope pulley and sticky chassis blocks) are only "one way" sticky, they take blocks on the sticky side with them if moved, but are not pulled along with blocks moved on their sticky side.

The cart assembler behaves like glue, creating a bidirectional connection, as mentioned this effect is even more noticeable, with the cart assembler being unmovable.

You could use a vanilla piston to move the log off the assembler.
There isn:t much point that I can see of adding a non sticky cart assembler because you would have to manually sticky it to make it actually work, defeating the purpose.

The issue with that solution is that it doesn't make for a neat/clean setup, especially if I would want to move a larger load.

I wouldn't necessarily add a non-sticky version that's entirely separate, but either a method to 'clean off' the glue from the regular cart assembler. Or better yet; a method for making other machines ignore the Cart Assembler when trying to move things. This entire problem wouldn't exist if I could just tell the rope pulley "I know it's unmovable, so don't try to move it, just move what you can, I know what I'm doing."
