I suspect it 'popped off' because it was either going too fast or the two speeds on either end of the shaft were different.
If only one side of the network had power there may of been a ghost network in the other side which caused the latter reason.
The two speeds on either end were the same, I am using a speed controller though. It keeps saying my system is overstressed but only because all the glue on my Pillsbury dough boy sail keeps disappearing when I try to restart the bearing again after turning off the ghost network. I've resorted to backing it up to when the system was at least on and not touching it. I just wanted the big Pillsbury dough boy sail to stop to indicate my chest is full but if I leave it running will that slow my server later for more automatic machines?
You can use a deployer to start and stop the sail, set it to right click the windmill bearing.
If you want to get rid of the ghost network open f3 and look at a block in the network. It will then highlight where that block is getting rotation from, follow this through the system to find where it loops back and forth and destroy the loop.
(you may have to turn off shaders to see the overlay)
