The new gantry shaft and carriage are an amazing introduction into the create mod and I have already experimented a lot with them. There limitless length is causes a huge problem with transferred power though. If you power a gantry shaft that goes beyond your rendered chuck distance, it will cause a section of the shaft to become permanently powered, even when completely disconnected. What's even worse is this power has no SU limitation as it's not an actual power source.
Long story short, unloaded chunks cause shafts to rotate, producing limitless power.
Simple fix - limit the distance the shafts can be placed. Instead of a line that can go 1000 blocks long, have the shaft be limited to maybe 150 before it's overworked.

It's bugs like these that make me wonder why Minecraft requires things to be rendered in to be processed.
