some blocks are showing as gray blocks when i place them down. i am not using fabulous graphics. Can you help?

Issue was fixed. Problem was Optifine. Is Optifine not compatible with Create?

Only Optifine G6 is guaranteed to be compatible with Create. From my own experience, https://github.com/AeiouEnigma/sodium-forge also is, although this is not guaranteed.

there are options to disable that fix the texture issues with optifine, but yes, G6 is the recommended version

Well I originally had G6 and the problem still occurred. Switched to G7 and G8, and the blocks were still grey. The only solution I could think of is just removing Optifine entirely from the mod folder.

Disabling Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering while using optifine should fix the issue

Anisotropic filtering also caused this for me. Disabling is a possible fix.
