Hey, I've been playing modded create survival for a while, and I had something pretty annoying to me. I wanted to test my contraption part by part, but water wheels couldn't stand the big power requirement. well, that's where I got the thought. Batteries!

batteries can be a perfect short-time power source for big machines. these batteries also have an upgrade, called power cells. However, the blocks aren't that easy to craft. the battery needs 1 integrated circuit, 6 brass casings, and 2 brass sheets. the power cells are even more harder to craft, since it needs 1 complicated circuit, 6 brass casings, and 4 refined radiance.

There was also a thing called a complicated circuit, and this is crafted by using mechanical crafters. this board required 3 gold blocks, 4 redstone blocks, 1 brass sheet, and 1 shadow steel. #

Cylinder or steam tank could work I think. The steam is filled into the gas cylinder through fluid system by some kind of compression device

I think that batteries are a tad higher tech than those resources.

That said I think that the flywheel should do more, because technically a flywheel is just that; a sort of 'battery' that stores rotational energy for later use. Right now it is only used as a part of furnace engines but could also act as a way of storing rotational stress.
