Drop item when you die

Is it possible to drop items when you die? Because for me this is not the case.

Somehow keepInventory is on for you, why did you even report this here?

Sorry I'm french and i didn't know where to ask for help. And keepInventory is off for me and when i die i losse all my inventory and no item drop .
