Ejector force players into flying mode if they wear Elytra

If a player wears Elytra while stepping on an ejector, they get put in flying mode.
It results in them not being able to reach the intended destination. It also prevents them from reaching the desired height.

I mean this is a super useful feature for elytra launchers.
This would be more of a suggestion to have an option to disable that.

If you need an Elytra launcher, you can just deploy the elytra yourself once in the air, no need for the ejector to do it for you. If you want to move players around with an ejector, you simply can't because it becomes uncontrollable if they have Elytra (most of the time).
Between a controllable thing and an uncontrollable thing, I will chose the controllable option anytime

This seems to be intended. Elytras will force the player into gliding mode.

Well it shouldn't, It goes against the objective of the block -> throwing entity at a given location
