After trying out the toolbox for the first time (btw i think it is real neat to have), I've decided to color it. However, the 8 slots were all filled with different Create related blocks (mechanical drill, linear chassis, rope pulley, etc.). After recoloring it yellow using a yellow die, all the items previously in the toolbox disappeared.

I'm guessing this is because after the different toolbox is crafted a completely new one is given to the player, and the contents don't get transferred.

Addendum:
1.: The above described happens with any die, and both in the 2x2 player crafting area and using crafting tables.
2.: I guess doing this is a good way to get rid of cobble stone.
