Hello! This is just when 1.17 just dropped today (12/9). I wanted to try the mod out, but the shaft, cogwheels, etc were either invisible and/or not displaying correctly. This is without modpacks/resource packs and no Optifine or Sodium, but a bunch of mods installed and running on low settings.

list of mods installed:

Builders Crafts & Addition
Collective (API)
Create
Customfence
Duplication Table
Effortless Building
Extended Bone Meal
Flywheel (API)
Forge
FrameBlocks
Guard Villagers
JEI
Indestructible Enchantment
Macaw's Bridges/Doors/Fences & Walls/Windows
Market Crates
More Villagers
Secret Rooms 6
Selene (API)
ShetiPhian-Core (API)
Supplementaries
Torch Slab Mod
Xaero's Minimap and World Map

!EDIT! @Jozufozu provided a temporary fix for the texture rendering problem of the items (12/12). It has been confirmed by @gungun974 as well

This is an issue on AMD GPUs. As a temporary fix, run the command /flywheel backend off

Try removing all other mods than create

I'm getting this issue as well in both the 1.17 and 1.18 versions. Fresh instances, the only mods are Create and Flywheel.

That did it for me, @Jozufozu. Items are shown correctly and work as intended. Many thanks!

Looks like a shadertexture was not set.

I can confirm that /flywheel backend off works for me. (I had a AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT).
So this issue it's like be more a flywheel issue than an create issue.

On the other hand, what exactly does the flywheel do so that if I deactivate its backend, Create still works "normally"?

is this a flywheel bug, then?

Flywheel is Create's rendering and performance improvement engine, however like any performance enhancing mod it's not always compatible with everything.

So it's a flywheel bug. Might not be high priority, gotcha.

commented

the latest flywheel fixes the issue. the only problem is that it isn't supported by create yet

God bless 'em anyway!
