Describe the Bug

I see game crash every time when I try to build movable constructions like trains, windmills, etc.

Reproduction Steps

1. build construction with windmill bearing
2. activate bearing
3. see like windmill begins to work
   ...GAME CRASHED!

Expected Result

I expected my windmill starts to work properly

37.1.1 (I find out that it is a reason of crash, I don't have any problem with new version of Forge on 1.18!)

Optifine (try to launch the game without this mod and got the same thing)

Here you go! I'm running a few other mods with Create, but as OP said, this issue still occurs with just Create. Nonetheless, lmk if you want me to try and get a crash log with just Create and Flywheel.

@Prakner try to launch with 39.0.5, it helps me, but I hope they do something with forge versions for 1.17.1 because I have some mods only for older version

Same thing happens to me on 1.18 whenever I'm looking at a moving multiblock. I'm attaching my crash report to this comment

Has there been any progress in fixing this or in finding a probable cause?

Should be fixed in the latest versions of Flywheel and Create.

What about 1.17.1 users? I still experience this bug or something very similar to it on that version, and Flywheel has yet to update past the December 9th beta, much less Create's Dec 9th release, unless there's other files not yet added?
