Chutes and smart chutes refuse to drop AE2 crystal seeds straight down, fling off to side instead. [A&B]

Describe the Bug
Encountered this one while playing Above & Beyond 1.3
For some reason chutes and smart chutes seem to absolutely refuse to drop AE2 crystal seeds straight down, instead flinging them consistently off to one side. With any other item, they work fine, dropping the item straight down into the world. But crystal seeds go flying off in random directions.
Reproduction Steps
- Place an inventory in world with a chute underneath
- add some AE2 crystal seeds to the inventory
- observe the seeds do not drop straight down and instead fling off to the side
- try again with other items, observe they drop straight down as expected.
...
Expected Result
Seeds should drop straight down into the lovely bath of water and crystal growth accelerators I've set up for it.

I've since discovered this happens with the supplementaries faucet as well.... seeds fling off to one side rather than dropping.
