Describe the Suggestion

So 1st off, you can dye belts! wow, mind blown. Haven't seen any youtubers that use that feature and only just happened to ponder belts.

Anyways, the suggestion, Make belts have a default color based on their speed...

0 to x = yellow
x to y = red
y to z = blue

Very Factorioesque, they have separate belts of those 3 colors, and some mods even add like a grey basic super slow belt.

Dyeing belts are similar to using colored wool to organize the different functions in Redstone.

You can tell the speed of the belt already with the speed of the shaft and how fast the texture's moving.
