Stretched Texture with Optifine

Describe the Bug

I've been experimenting for hours what the cause of this might be, and I've found that when playing with the Optifine mod and with the Flywheel mod, no other mods and resource packs active, most blocks and items have a stretched out zoom. This happens with dead bushes, dirt, and some others, but it zooms out the texture and shows the whole textures for several items, from different blocks including dirt and command blocks, to items like slimes and I think clocks. This picture is pasted onto each side, and is activated shortly after loading a brand new single player world. Not every block turns into this, but sometimes it even allows you to see into rendered caves below. It's quite annoying, since I quite like to use Optifine.

I have a photo. Other mods are present during the screenshot, but I already proved earlier the only necessary conflicting mods were Optifine and Flywheel. I had just proved Optifine was a problem, alongside Flywheel.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Download both OptiFine_1.18.1_HD_U_H4 from the Optifine site, and Flywheel-forge-1.18-0.6.0, while using 1.18.1-forge-39.0.76
  2. Load up a new world
  3. Watch the travesty unfold shortly after. It can be most noticeable on grass and sea plants. 2D texture items in the world. This can often take a second, where I break said grass and walk forward for a little while before it all snaps. Maybe it is due to everything rendering in first before it takes hold?

Note: I'm not fully aware what settings I have changed from the original Optifine. I have used the inital setting and even turned it off. I have fog totally off, and fancy graphics. My system is high end, and I often have my render distance set to 12-16. I don't think render distance was a variable in this, but who knows.

Expected Result

I would like for my game to not have these weird texture issues

Other Mods

Only Flywheel and Optifine loaded in Forge are necessary to replicate in my version, but I do also have some mods like Cosmetic Armor, Xaeros Minimap, Creative Core, Cloth Config, Borderless Window, and a few more that were there when I first loaded in with Flywheel. Those might have changed some other folder locations and settings, but they really shouldn't have. They were not loaded in when I replicated the glitch barebones.

Solved the texture glitch, by the looks of it. I went back at it again today, turned my pc back on, went into the conif files in .minecraft, and changed the flywheel-client.toml file by changing the backend setting to "batched". It seems to work so far, but I don't know what it all means.

I had the same problem and changing the backend setting helped me.
