Blazes don't drop items when killed with mechanical drills

First off, thank you to the creators of this mod. It is one of the coolest mods I have seen in quite some time.
I'm using forge 28.2.6 and Create 0.2.2b. No other mods installed.
When a blaze is killed by a mechanical drill it never drops items. Other mobs I have tested do drop items, so this seems like a possible bug.
Blaze rods never drop blaze rods if they aren't killed by a player (or from a source of damage emulating a player, like a deployer holding a sword)
