Better control over server is always nice, there are always those players that might have a mountain schemed and construct it over your base.

While we are here, some kind of 'land protection' or 'chunk claiming' feature might go well with this mod. Also players should be able to add each other as friends so that they can access their land, not others.

If you encounter players using mods with ill-intent, admins already have the ability to ban them.
You have already suggested land protection in #28, and it will not become part of Create as there are plenty of mods that specialize in it.

It's not that big of a server for me to be able to band someone, hence we are all friends in real life. It's only that some of them sometimes make stupid jokes that is hard to fix as an admin to keep the game flowing without hurting anyone's feelings.

If chunk ownership is not an option, at least a feature to protect certain blocks from:
a) being built on with Schematicannon
b) from being schemed by others
would be great. (Those who have chunk ownership mods can maybe disable this feature in the config file?!)

Plus there is no chunk/land ownership/protection mod for 1.14.4 (Forge) as of now, so this could be a chance to fill the gap :)

Sadly, the protection mechanic is not trivial and definitely not something players expect to have access to in this type of Mod.
As I mentioned, plenty of people are better at this than I ever will- if they haven't ported yet, give 1.14 some more time.

Regarding your particular use case, I'm not a fan of limiting mechanics to inhibit trolling. If the people you play with are getting on your nerves, reconsider if you really want to play with them. Plus, you should be keeping frequent backups of your world in this state of forge anyway. =)

I'm sorry to reject this, but I don't see a good reason to invest weeks into protection mechanics.
