Mechanical Piston does not move fully with Redstone Link

Found a bug with the Mechanical Piston. If you have a Sequenced Gearshift connected to a Mechanical Piston, and then place a Redstone Link somewhere on the inside of contraption you are moving with the piston (i.e. a building sat on top of Linear Chassis), then the piston will only move 1m and no more. As soon as you take the Redstone Link away, the piston moves as normal. It also moves as normal if the Redstone Link is on the outside of the contraption. Minecraft 1.18.
