Generators on same shaft or chain drive merge stress capacity

Describe the Suggestion

Due to Create's design, I take it's meant as a counter to the "build your super generator and connect your entire base" class of mods. It's grounded, in a vanilla sort of way; every farm (or factory) needs it's own power generation.

However, I think stress capacity, as is, is cumbersome for cumbersome's sake. Building high-tech factories gets big really fast, because even with late tech, such as furnace engine and rotation speed controller, just supplying power is a management nightmare.

If generators could add together their stress capacities, it would be feasible to make a power plant for one factory, but making it for your entire base would still be unfeasible (just because of the sheer size). That is, it would just un-intertwine the power from its application, making for cleaner organization.

Now, the reason I specify shaft or chain drive is to specifically remove the possibility to make a base-wide generator by linking several smaller power plants spread far apart. If the merge only happens for generators in the same shaft (such as water wheels) or chain drive (all the others), then that would be impossible. It's also easier to implement and with better performance (supposedly, since I'm not aware of Create's internals).

no

Yes it is?

In your first example, each water wheel contributes 256 su to a total of 768 su. This is how it works in the mod already, hook up a stressometer to that setup
