Contraption duplication issue when cogwheels are pushed by pistons

Hi, recently one of my friends told me about an issue regarding the new feature in which gears and gear boxes can be moved in means of contraption.

Basically, when cogwheels drive pistons to push itself, upon the piston head touching the whole contraption where the cogwheel is on, the whole contraption seizures and stop. Nevertheless, all the blocks on the contraption fall off while the contraption itself still remains fine (basically, items are duplicated).

To reproduce this issue, set up a small wall of chassis, put some kinetic sources and gearboxes and cogwheels on it, have the cogwheels or gearboxes drive a piston from this mod to push the wall of chassis. Upon contact, the issue should be reproduced. (so that when the piston head touches the wall of chassis, the piston is now basically pushing itself forward).

I was not able to reproduce this issue with my previous schematics. This one works.
To reproduce it, just activate the piston. If only a gearbox breaks place the gearbox back on without touch anything else. This issue is then reproduced.

It seems that this issue is also related to the orientation of the contraption. When the contraption faces the other axis, this issue cannot be reproduced.
