display link not properly connecting to a display source, possibly a mod compatibility issue. applies to all sources.

only setup is placing the display, display source, and display link

I had this exact same issue! Super frustrating to log on, expecting new content, and then half of it to not even work! At least the trains worked almost flawlessly. Every cloud has a silver lining :)
I have this issue as well. It's perplexing since I'm in a profile with only Create and Flywheel loaded. I tried changing my forge version to several different 40.1.x versions but none worked.
