Just power a station or the train track of a station with redstone to disassemble/assemble the train on it.

With this simple mechanic you could do so much. You could build full automatic train wagon Switcher or you could transport a whole train for example with a boat or a helicarrier (I want to build something like this) and I think it isn’t this hard to be programmed.

I agree, this would be neat addition. However train station already interacts with redstone (train schedules).

I also agree this should be a thing, would be super powerful to have. Redstone is already being used, so maybe a wrench in a deployer or something like that could be used. Not as elegant, but it would work. Perhaps the create team would have some better ideas.
This is absolutely a feature that should exist in one way or another.
