chutes dont work on composters

Describe the Bug
put a chute on top and below the composter and put something that can be composted into the top one and nothing happens it stayes there (i am on my server)
Reproduction Steps
- place a composter
- place a chute above it and below it
- put something in the chute above composter
- nothing happens (it doesnt compost)
Expected Result
it does compost

Cause this is a feature in the Fabric version of Create, that doesn't work on Forge.
- Just realized how old this report is, can we get some kind of update on this situation? I recently converted a world from Fabric to Forge, and found my composter setups were not working anymore, and now found out that this is the reason.
