Kaboom'd Toolbox Loses Items

Describe the Bug
Title says it all. Creeper blew up a toolbox. The toolbox is gone and so are its items. Shouldn't the items drop just like they do from exploded chests?
Reproduction Steps
- Have a toolbox
- Have items in it
- Ensure it's placed as a block within the world
- Make a creeper explode nearby (close enough to destroy the toolbox)
- The toolbox is destroyed and no items are dropped
Expected Result
All items within the toolbox should drop onto the ground when it is exploded, which mimics the behavior of chests.

Did 2 creppers blow up? Just tried in my environment and it drops the toolbox with all items inside of it.
Nope, it was definitely only one creeper, and it wasn't in a mob-dense area. No holes in the ground or anywhere it could've been lost to. The items and the toolbox itself all disappeared.
Perhaps worth noting is that I had two other chests nearby (possibly directly beside the toolbox, can't remember for sure) which were very full and also destroyed in the process. Their items dropped as normal.
