Describe the Suggestion

After using mechanical and windmill bearings, and seeing that they rotate smoothly, I expected that a clockwork bearing would do the same. Instead, they only rotate when the next hour/minute arrives.

I know that many real clocks work how the clockwork bearing currently does, but I'm still quite disappointed that I can't use a clockwork bearing for smooth rotation. Would it be possible to both add smooth rotation like mechanical and windmill bearings to clockwork bearings and make the rotation type toggle-able with a wrench?

PS: The ponder menu makes no mention of being able to use a wrench on the clockwork bearing, even though many other wrench-able items make mention of it. Is this intended?

I apologise if this has been asked/suggested before. I did a quick search for it and didn't see the suggestion, so I hope I didn't make a duplicate.
