Deployer not milking

Describe the Bug
When i put down a deployer and put buckets in its hand, when i provide a rotational force and a cow is a block away like its supposed to be, it doesnt extract milk.
Reproduction Steps
- Put down a deployer
- Provide rotational force
- Have a cow in front of the deployer with 1 block between the two
- Put a bucket in the deployers hand
- Finally, it doesnt work.
Expected Result
No milk
