Shulker boxes placed by wand of symmetry lose their contents

Create version: 0.2.4d
Minecraft version: 1.15.2
Steps to reproduce:
Have 2 or more shulker boxes in inventory with items inside
Place Shulker Box while wand of symmetry is in hotbar
The Shulker Boxes placed by the wand of symmetry will have all their contents removed.
This issue has been marked as stale because it has been inactive for 3 weeks. It will be closed if it remains inactive for another 3 weeks.
This issue also applies to Shulker Boxes placed with a Schematicannon.

Minecraft version: 1.16.5
Steps to reproduce:
Create a schematic consisting of one or more Shulker Boxes.
Place schematic in Schematicannon, and a chest underneath with Shulker Boxes that have items in them.
Shulker Boxes placed by Schematicannon have their contents erased.
This issue has been marked as stale because it has been inactive for 3 weeks. It will be closed if it remains inactive for another 3 weeks.
It seems that the wand of symmetry does not retain the NBT data of the blocks placed. Same behavior with drawers from the Storage Drawers mod - they lose items in them too.
One possible solution to this problem would be to add a blacklist of blocks that cannot be placed while the wand of symmetry is active, but then it would take some effort to maintain that blacklist. It may also be possible to just check if blocks that are being placed have any NBT data, and if so, retain it, or at least prevent them from being placed.
