TENGO EL MISMO PROBLEMA, pero pensé que era alguna incompatibilidad de alguno de los mods que también tengo pero si pasa sin ningún otro mod tal vez este CRASH-REPORT pueda ayudar.

I'm having the same issue but it doesn't even reopens the launcher saying it crashed, it just closes entirely and instantly, I'm playing on a server, while placing/&brteaking create blocks and vanilla chests, I tested a bit on singleplayer and does not seem to happen just on servers.

In my case the issue was caused by OptiFine. Once removed everything works ok. Which is sad because I want both mods :(

This was fixed in patch F.
